The shelter dated back to the days of the London County Council which had built and ran much of the capital's  tramway system. It appears to have been in existence by at least 1905 , and lasted throughout the London Transport era from 1933, through to 1952. The shelter was positioned between Kennington Park Rd & Brixton Rd where there was a double track tram junction.   The building is octagonal in shape measuring approximately 3" in diameter.  It appears that there is still some kind of octagonal brick utility structure on the site, if Streetview is to be believed!

This model requires some very careful assembly, For this reason, two copies of the kit are supplied in the kit, Glazing material is included for the windows. Some thin wire (possibly from a paperclip) will be required to make the centre spire on the roof, and also to provide poles for tram stops, for which a selection of both LCC and LT style stop flags are supplied. A selection of appropriate posters is included.
